Blizzard Awards 2006: Adjudication, Nominations & Awards Presentation
- Nominations Adjudication: From all entries, an independent Nominations Jury will select a maximum of three (3) nominees for each Blizzard Awards category.
- In the event a Jury feels that a production has been entered incorrectly, it reserves the right to make the appropriate category change.
-
If fewer than three (3) submissions are received in any Award category, the Jury may choose to collapse that category into another category, or eliminate that category from competition for that year.
-
The Nominations Jury may recommend any entry not covered by a competition category for consideration in the Jury Merit section.
- The Jury Merit section does not have a limit on the number of Nominees that can be recommended for consideration.
- Each recommendation to the Jury Merit section must identify the specific achievement to be considered for recognition.
- The Nomination Jury may recommend to the Blizzard Committee the addition of a category for that year when the Jury selects more than three (3) nominees for a distinctly different consideration
than that recognized
by a competition category.
- Competition Categories: To maintain quality and a manageable number of Blizzard Award categories, the Blizzard Awards Committee shall review any Jury recommendation: to collapse or eliminate a competition category, and/or to add a
distinct
category in a year, and/or the re-assignment of an entry to a category other than the one submitted to.
- Winners Adjudication: An independent Jury of active and prominent production professionals will select one award recipient from the three nominees in each award category.
- In addition to the competition Category awards, the Jury may present a maximum of three (3) Jury Merit Honors in a given year.
- Appeal Process: Exceptions to the conditions of eligibility will be made at the sole discretion of On Screen Manitoba. The procedure for resolution of any dispute in matters related to entry eligibility, categories, and/or selection of any submission for a Blizzard Award will be handled by the On Screen Manitoba Blizzard Awards Committee.
