Manitoba Music & Motion Pictures Development Project (M3P) Overview
A project administered by On Screen Manitoba and MARIA and funded primarily by the Canada-Manitoba Economic Development Partnership Agreement and the film and sound industries of Manitoba.
The Manitoba Audio Recording Industry Association (MARIA) and On Screen Manitoba jointly initiated the Manitoba Music & Motion Pictures (M3P) Development Project in July 2001. The M3P Project was originally a three-year innovative "pilot project" focused on funding market development and business/professional development initiatives that will have important, long-term impact on the continued growth and sustainability of Manitoba's music and motion picture industries. In 2004 the M3P Project was renewed for four years (to March 31, 2008) by the Canada-Manitoba Economic Development Partnership Agreement (EDPA), administered by Western Economic Diversification Canada.
