An evening with Norma Bailey
Saturday, April 12, 2008 – 7 PM - with a post-screening reception at Plug In ICA

Norma Bailey was one of the Winnipeg Film Group’s earliest members and is one of Manitoba’s most distinguished film directors. Her first film THE PERFORMER won her a Special Jury Prize at Cannes in 1980 and launched her filmmaking career. She has since gone on to produce and direct countless dramas and documentaries, and has won many more awards including Geminis, Blizzards, and many more.

In 2008, the Winnipeg Film Group is especially honoured to be able to celebrate the exceptional career of Norma Bailey and her significant contribution to the local film community at our annual Fundraising Gala. Our screening will feature her short documentaries The Performer and NOSE & TINA, as well as other highlights from her distinguished filmmaking career.
