The Golden Sheaf Award winners were announced during the 61st Annual Yorkton Short Film & Video Festival Awards Gala on Saturday May 24, 2008. Awards in 18 genre categories, 3 craft categories and Special awards were given to Canadian Short filmmakers.
The Yorkton Short Film and Video Festival is the longest running film festival in North America. In the 61 years of its existence the festival has developed a tradition of recognizing excellent films and providing great professional development and learning opportunities. The Festival recognizes outstanding Canadian short films and rewards the very best with the annual Golden Sheaf Awards.
