Posted: Apr 27, 2011 ANDREW WALL FEATURED ON GLOBAL TV

Source: Global TV
Farpoint Films' Andrew Wall was recently featured on Global Winnipeg TV about his new documentary Champion City.
Many hockey buffs call it a defining moment of our national pastime, one that many Winnipeggers have forgotten about.
But recently, the Winnipeg Winter Club has traveled back in time to 1896, returning to its heyday as “Champion City,” with a documentary highlighting the Winnipeg Victoria’s Stanley Cup win 115 years ago being shot at the River Avenue recreation centre.
That win over the Montreal Victoria’s marked the first of three Stanley Cups that Winnipeg would win in a span of six years.
“I think it’s exciting with all the energy and the talk about the NHL potentially coming back to Winnipeg,” said filmmaker Andrew Wall, “I think it’s a great reminder that, in fact, the Stanley Cup at one point, three times, actually, there was; there was two times after 1896, the Stanley Cup did come to Winnipeg and maybe we can do after it again!”
The 22-minute documentary is expected to be available to view later this fall.
