Telefilm Canada Hosts Annual Public Assembly in Winnipeg
On November 23, MANITOBA FILM & MUSIC will welcome Telefilm Canada’s Board of Directors and staff to Winnipeg for the organization’s Annual Public Assembly.
This marks the first time Telefilm will visit Manitoba in this capacity. Telefilm Canada is the main federal cultural agency devoted to the development & promotion of the Canadian screen-based industries. Telefilm is led by Executive Director Carolle Brabant and has a national Board of Directors, chaired by Michel Roy.
Manitoba’s film industry and members of the public are encouraged to attend the public assembly at the Franco-Manitoban Cultural Centre (340 Provencher Boulevard) on November 23, 2011 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm.
In concert with the Premier of Manitoba Greg Selinger and Telefilm Canada, MANITOBA FILM & MUSIC will also be coordinating a private screening of the Manitoba film Passionflower directed by Shelagh Carter, at the Winnipeg Art Gallery the evening of November 23.
