WINNIPEG ABORIGINAL FILM FESTIVAL MASTER CLASS WITH DIRECTOR JEREMY TORRIE
November 19 - 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Asper Centre for Theatre & Film - University of Winnipeg Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall
Join accomplished director, and OSM member, Jeremy Torrie for this working discussion about the craft of editing and putting a film together in this digital non-linear age. He will talk about his editing choices, what shots he wants to use and how the scenes add to the tone and mood.
You will see what a master is, medium, close up, mini master and more. This is a rare opportunity to get an inside look at a director’s process as he works on a real project.
Actor Lorne Cardinal will be in attendance.
The Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival runs from November 16 to 20, 2011.
Jeremy Torrie recently wrapped filming of his feature film, Path of Souls, starring Lorne Cardinal, Gary Farmer, Adam Beach and Laura Harris. His next feature, Glimmer, will star Amy Smart.
Visit here for an OSM exclusive interview with Jeremy Torrie.
Torrie has also created an Indie GoGo account to allow for donations to assist with post-production for Path of Souls. For different contribution levels, items your donation will get you include a signed script, a DVD of the film and an invitation to attend the World Premiere.
