Market and promote your work
Manage a project
Manage your financial affairs
Manage legal matters
Develop effective business skills
AMYC is open to anyone with an existing arts practice including actors, craftspeople, dancers, filmmakers, musicians, independent graphic designers, new media content creators, visual artists and writers. If you are a self-employed artist, or looking to increase the portion of your employment derived from your art, then this course is for you.
There will be a limit to a maximum of 12 participants drawn from across all artistic disciplines and therefore space is extremely limited. In addition, the cost of the course is $75 for ACI members. Classes are three hours once a week for 13 weeks on Tuesday evenings from February 7– May 1, 2012 in Winnipeg.
This course is being taught by Heather Bishop, musician and painter extraordinaire. Download the application form at http://www.creativemanitoba.ca/training/art-of-managing-your-career.
