CALL FOR ENTRIES
Feature films: narrative and documentary of 70 minutes and longer

Telefilm Canada is currently accepting entries of Canadian feature films on behalf of the Shanghai International Film Festival.

Telefilm Canada will coordinate a consolidated shipment to China for the submissions.

Deadline for Canadian submissions via Telefilm Canada: Friday, January 20, 2012

Information and registration process

The Shanghai International Film Festival is recognized by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association) as an A category Festival (competitive feature film festival).

The festival screens Canadian films in its Official Competition and International Panorama, which includes a number of national spotlights (Global Village) and retrospectives.

In 2011, the Festival presented a FOCUS ON CANADA sidebar in the Global Village. See Canada at Shanghai 2011.

Since 2008, the China Film Financing Forum includes the Co-Production Film Pitch & Catch (Co-FPC). The Co-FPC is open for feature film projects in development with Chinese or Asian elements, or planning to be produced in China, and produced with a Chinese partner. Every year, around 25 Co-FPC projects participate in the 450 face-to-face meetings and find their co-production partners.
