Entering Freeze Frame’s Youth Video Contest gives you the chance to have your video seen by theatre audiences at Freeze Frame’s International Film Festival for Kids of All Ages. As a contest finalist you could have your video screened during the Festival between March 5 & 11, 2012.

And, you’ll have the chance to win awards – cash and other great prizes – in these categories:

  • Most Promising Filmmaker

  • Best Animation

  • Best Live Action

  • Best Acting

  • Technical Achievement

  • Best Public Service Announcement

  • and NEW for 2012: Type of Video

We accept videos in these categories:

  • Animation

  • Live Action – Fiction

  • Live Action – Non-Fiction

  • Documentary

  • Experimental

  • Public Service Announcement

Length: All videos must be no longer than 7 minutes.
Language: Videos can be created in any language. For videos in a language other than French or English, we encourage you to provide subtitles in one of those two languages.

Need help? Freeze Frame has equipment, instructors and detailed how-to guides to help you make your video. We also offer introductory and advanced workshops on all aspects of film and video production.
