The Atlantic Film Festival is still accepting applications for this year's Script Development Program but the deadline is MONDAY MARCH 12. Selected writers will partake in 3 intensive weekend development workshops from the end of May until August with script editor Noel Baker and pitch expert Jan Miller. In September each writer will participate in the Script Pitch Event during the 32nd Atlantic Film Festival to compete for the coveted $10,000 development prize.

Do you have the next great feature film idea? Every great feature film begins with a well-written and dynamic screenplay.

As original ideas and highly developed scripts are key elements to the success of the screen industry, the Atlantic Film Festival is looking for the best and most talented writers from the Atlantic region to participate in our annual script development program.

Open to writers from the four Atlantic Provinces, this program offers a unique opportunity to develop a feature film idea from an outline, to treatment and eventually into a first draft. The final concept will be presented to a room of film producers during the Script Pitch Event at the 32nd Atlantic Film Festival. It will be during this event that the writers will vie for a $10,000 prize in development funding. This program is presented in partnership with Telefilm Canada and Astral's Harold Greenberg Fund.
