For those who don't know Tammy, she started out in Winnipeg as an actor and has now been around the business for a while. She's worked both sides of the camera. She's produced some things, helped casting with some things, been a reader for casting, been on hundreds (probably close to thousands now) of auditions in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, LA, Winnipeg, and have been fortunate enough to have been working as an actor all across Canada this past year on such shows as LESS THAN KIND, BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE, SUPERNATURAL, LOST GIRL, ENDGAME, SHATTERED, and more (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0319320/). 

A lot of those jobs, well, most of those jobs, have come from tapings. Tapings with casting and tapings from home. These are the digital times. You need to know how to "shine" on that audition tape because more times than not, the director and producer are casting you from a taped audition. That means, you CAN book those jobs from Winnipeg (and also rock the local auditions). Knowing what looks good on camera, what works and what doesn't is so important in today's world of auditioning. Showing up and saying the lines is not enough, believe me, those get fast forwarded and skipped through. A lot of actors get passed aside because their auditions are BORING. Being prepared and making compelling, unique choices is what will get you the job.
