In adapting to the ever-changing needs of Manitoba’s film industry, Manitoba Film & Music is simplifying its Emerging Talent Matching Fund program. To better assist new talent and low-budget productions, the funding awarded through this program will now be in the form of a grant, and will no longer take the form of an equity investment. A micro-budget production stream has also been implemented as a part of this program for factual and scripted projects with budgets of less than $100,000. Full details can be found in the Grant Program for Emerging Talent and Micro-Budget Production guidelines, which are now available on the Manitoba Film & Music website.
