On Screen Manitoba

Since 2008, camera manufacturers have been marketing affordable HDSLRs. These digital cameras are revolutionary in that they have put into the hands of the general public, a tool to create high end film-like images at a price unheard of even 10 years ago.

This workshop is intended to provide an introduction to handling and preserving videotape. The hands on approach will familiarize participants with basic technical knowledge about the construction and operation of videotape, terminology, preservation standards, and best practices.

True to its commitment to celebrating the art, education and entertainment of film, the Gimli Film Festival is excited to announce the addition of the MTS Digital Media Camp – a five-day total film immersion camp dedicated to learning how to create a short film and posting it on YouTube.

This course will cover voice and speech techniques as they apply to the performer and public speaker. At the heart of the work will be the discovery of habits which may interfere with students vocal communication.

The Firearms Safety & Handling Actors Workshop is designed specifically to teach actors about firearms safety, handling and authenticity. It will teach you to be safer and more comfortable when handling firearms on set and how to look like you really know what you are doing with a gun in your hand.

Website Measurement provides information about the number of visitors to a website and the number of page views. It helps gauge traffic and popularity trends which is useful for market research.

After a very successful fall session, award-winning filmmaker and actor Tamara Gorski will be conducting another BOOT CAMP for actors of all levels who wish to learn the particular techniques and 'no non-sense approach' to working as an actor in three months. 

Do not lose a booking because you sound Canadian. You must train, develop and maintain your Standard American speaking voice.
