This two evening workshop will focus on helping you get the most from Final Cut Pro X – from its powerful organizational intelligence to its forward-thinking editing paradigms, this workshop will give you an in-depth look at the foundations that make Final Cut Pro X a powerful and unique editing experience.

This installation incubator workshop explores the intersection of experimental cinema, public space and installation. Combining a theory and hands-on handmade filmmaking, participants will work on individual, 100 ft silent films that thematically consider the engagement of film, space and place. Participants will receive feedback from the instructors and other participants during this workshop, and should be open to having their works critiqued.

The Winnipeg Film Group Reading Series (WFG) is pleased to announce a script reading series to support the developing talents of Winnipeg’s storytellers – writers and actors alike - by providing a forum where they can present their craft to a live audience and get instant feedback.

Now in its second year, the Architecture + Design Film Festival will present critically acclaimed films that focus on the importance of architecture and design in everyday life. The films cover an incredible range of design-oriented topics from architecture and urban design to graphics and product design.

The Winnipeg Film Group's Mosaic Women's Film Project is a special production support and film mentorship program to assist two women of Aboriginal or diverse cultural backgrounds* to produce a first or second independent short film or video. There are TWO awards available.

Filmmakers who have finished films are invited to apply for the WFG's Marketing Fund, which offers up to $750 to assist in the promotion of independent Manitoba films.

The 5th edition of the Gimme Some Truth Documentary Festival will take place Thursday, March 14th - Sunday, March 17th. We are seeking volunteers to assist with the daily festival activities such as box office, door person, bartender, videographer and photographer. Volunteers will receive free admission to screenings.
