Access Funds are available to support On Screen Manitoba Professional Plus members travelling to markets, festivals and professional development opportunities. These funds are here to help you build and maintain the industry relationships that support Manitoba projects—whether through sales, broadcast, distribution, co-production or partnerships.

Access to Markets
Access to Markets is an industry-driven fund that supports a portion of travel costs for eligible On Screen Manitoba (OSM) members—producers, production companies, directors and writers who are seeking to build, maintain, and/or reinforce business connections, pitch projects, expand their professional networks, and strengthen their market presence while attending national and international markets.
What's covered?
The fund covers 100% of eligible costs, up to:
$1,500 for North American travel
$2,000 for international travel
The final amount is subject to jury approval.
Eligibility: You'll need a Professional Plus or Production Company membership in good standing for at least three months before applying — and you'll need to keep it active for one year after receiving the award. STEP 4: When you're back, submit your final report and tell us how it went.
Access to Festivals
Access to Festivals is an industry-driven fund that supports a portion of the travel costs for independent Manitoba producers, directors, and writers. The program is available to individuals with feature-length productions selected for screening at national or international festivals. Short films may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Funding decisions depend on the availability of funds and the potential for professional or business growth at the festival.
What's covered? The fund covers 100% of eligible travel costs, up to:
North American travel: up to $1,500 CAD
International travel: up to $1,750 CAD

Professional Development Fund
The Professional Development Fund (PDF) is an industry-driven program that supports a portion of travel and registration costs for eligible On Screen Manitoba (OSM) members pursuing professional training opportunities.
The fund is available to Manitoba writers, directors, producers, and filmmakers with at least two (2) years of experience in the media production industry. Funding supports activities such as workshops, master classes, or courses delivered by established institutions outside of Manitoba.
Priority will be given to training that aligns with recognized industry standards and contributes meaningfully to the applicant’s career or business development, and aligns with the sector development needs of the Manitoba media production industry.
What's covered? The fund covers 100% of eligible costs, up to:
North American travel: up to $1,500 CAD
International travel: up to $1,750 CAD
