Conflict Resolution for Media Production Professionals 

A foundational training session by Facilitated Solutions, presented by On Screen Manitoba in partnership with IATSE Local 856, ICG Local 669, DGC-MDC, and ACTRA Manitoba.

Overview 

What do you do when conflict shows up on set? 

Designed for professionals working in the Manitoba media production industry, this in-person workshop offers practical tools to help prevent, manage and resolve conflict—whether during project planning, on set, or across working relationships. Through guided reflection and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to respond to moments of tension and difference with greater clarity, confidence and skill. 

Led by Dave Dyck of Facilitated Solutions, the session focuses on three key areas: 

  • Preventing conflict before it escalates 

  • Managing ongoing differences 

  • Resolving acute conflict and moving forward 

Date: Saturday, May 24, 2025
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. 
Location: Creative Manitoba classroom, 4th floor – 245 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg 

Cost 

  • $40 – On Screen Manitoba members

  • $50 – Non-members

  • Subsidized rate available for members of DGC-MDC, ICG Local 669, ACTRA Manitoba and IATSE Local 856

About the Facilitator 

David Dyck 
Partner and Clinical Manager, Senior Mediator and Trainer 
Facilitated Solutions 

David Dyck, MA, CMed, is a seasoned conflict resolution practitioner with over 30 years of experience as a mediator, facilitator, trainer and academic instructor. A Chartered Mediator through the ADR Institute of Canada, he holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in conflict resolution. 

Dave has taught at the University of Winnipeg, the University of Manitoba, and other institutions across Canada. As a trainer, he’s led workshops throughout Canada, the U.S., and Europe. He is known for combining humour, storytelling and case studies to deliver practical models and skills participants can apply in real-world settings. 

As a senior member of the Facilitated Solutions team, Dave specializes in workplace conflict across a range of sectors—including business, health care, education and the arts. He is often called on to support organizations through challenging conversations and lasting conflict resolution strategies.
